這首歌是英國另類搖滾團體Coldplay第二張專輯《A Rush of Blood to the Head》裡的一首歌，它是由團員一起寫的。創造了鋼琴的重覆樂句，還有對照隱秘的歌詞及堅持的主題，在2004年它贏得葛萊美獎的最佳錄音，也是這團成功的歌曲之一。

這首歌是出現他們在準備第二張專輯的後期。有一晚主唱Chris Martin比較慢來錄音室，它到錄音室就到鋼琴把他心中的旋律彈出來，Martin說這首歌是受到另一個英國搖滾團Muse啟發的，主唱彈鋼琴重覆樂句，吉他手Jonny Buckland就跟著把基本和弦找出來。在寫這首歌之前，他們為了第二張專輯寫了十首歌，所以他們把這首歌列在第三張專輯的歌單上，後來他們錄好第二張專輯的試聽帶，拿到唱片公司，他們覺得很不妥認為太倉促了，於是他們的第二張專輯延後發行，最後他們決定把這首歌加入第二張專輯裡，他們的專輯也在一個月後發行了。

這首歌的曲調是鋼琴的重覆樂句，加上貝士及鼓的極簡主義樂風，主唱Martin加入固定樂句及下段音程在鋼琴裡，曲調也加入合成器及弦樂。這首歌的歌詞的主題是對比、矛盾及急切。
