    這首歌是由美國女子團體LaBelle於1974年所唱。製作人Allen Toussaint說：「這首歌在發行下一年變成很紅的歌曲，這首歌最有名的性感歌詞是用法文所唱『今晚妳要陪我嗎？』。」這首歌在當時為美國告示版第一名的歌曲，2003年獲得葛萊美名人堂。

    這首歌是由Bob Crewe 和 Kenny Nolan所寫，他們之前還共同寫了一首很好聽的歌曲〈My Eyes Adored You〉，這首歌本來不是LaBelle所唱，她們的製作人Toussaint聽到決定把它放到《Nightbirds》這張專輯當主打歌，背後演奏的樂手為美國放克樂團The Meters，後來很多團體及個人都來翻唱這首歌。

    這首歌的故事是說有一個克里奧良的女士想要誘惑她在奧爾良街上遇到的一位男生，雖然這位男生不太想提及這件事，不過他想起他們約會的地點及跟那位女士共度一晚的時光。歌詞裡的"Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)?"是法文，意思是說〞今晚想不想跟我共度啊？〝，這個句子在《慾望街車》也有出現過。
