〞How Soon Is Now〝是英國另類樂團The Smiths的一首歌曲，它是由主唱Morrissey和吉他手Johnny Marr在1984年共同創作的歌曲。他們在四天裡寫了三首歌"William, It Was Really Nothing" and "Please Please Let Me Get What I Want"，包括這一首，他們到錄音室先錄了二首歌，錄音師聽到這首歌的重覆樂句印象很深，但似乎歌曲還需要加入一些些的東西，於是他們找出貓王的一首歌"That's All Right"，於是Marr開始安排和弦的進行，也請主唱來錄歌了。

這首歌只有一段重覆兩次，加上合聲和間奏。這首歌描述一個人無法找到方法來破除害羞，前面的歌詞是用對句的形式，參考了George Eliot's 小說《 Middlemarch》: "To be born the son of a Middlemarch manufacturer, and inevitable heir to nothing in particular".曲調是吉他的和弦間不斷地擺盪。
