      這首歌是首經典的搖滾曲目，是由1955年Carl Perkins所寫並錄音。這首歌是12小節藍調曲式，也是第一首搖滾歌曲的錄音，音樂融合了藍調、鄉村及流行音樂元素，最著名的版本是Elvis Presley所唱。

      這首歌的由來有個故事，Johnny Cash讓這首歌有個起頭，有一次他和Carl Perkins、Elvis Presley到美國南方巡迴演出，他們聊天的時候，Cash就說他遇到一位在德國服役的黑人飛行員，黑人飛行員說他們部隊所穿的鞋子就是Blue Suede Shoes，Cash就建議他要不要寫一首有關那個鞋子的歌，Perkins回答說；「我又不知道鞋子的事情，我要怎麼寫呢？」在1955年12月4日Perkins放舞曲的時候，看到一對情侶，那男生就說：「不要踩我的鞋子！」他看了看是雙Blue Suede Shoes，然後激起他的靈感寫了這首歌。
